What are the group sizes?

We try to work on a ratio of 1 coach to 8 players

Are the players put into groups and can my child be grouped with friends?

Players are grouped initially by age and according to the information on the Program enrolment form which asks you to nominate your child’s playing status e.g. club, school, rep or beginner. You are also asked to indicate any friends who are attending and as long as they are of similar age and ability will be grouped with their friends. Because of our small group sizes we usually have the flexibility to move players to different groups depending on their ability, but have found that ability within each group is usually diverse and that moving groups once we have started is unnecessary. However the players are instructed at the beginning of the program to speak to their coach on the day if they are not happy or feel they belong in a different group.

What happens if it rains?

Baseball is an outdoor game and unfortunately we cannot control the weather! We know how disappointing it can be for players and parents when we have to occasionally cancel a program due to bad weather and in most cases as long as the ground remains open we shall endeavour to proceed. Sydney weather is very fickle and can quickly clear as the day goes on. If it’s raining lightly we ask you go to the venue. Please ensure your email details and phone numbers are correct on the enrolment form, as this is how we will contact you in the event of any change.

Do you provide any food and drinks?

No. Players should bring their food and drink requirements for the day with them as there are no canteen facilities available at the venue.

Can my child stay on after the Program has finished?

No. We regret we cannot provide any supervision after a program has finished and we request you are prompt in collecting your child.

Does my child need to bring his own gear?

We ask that all players wear appropriate baseball clothing and bring all personal equipment to be used on the day. Our coaches can only provide equipment for a limited number of players. So if you have your own equipment, please bring it with you. If you do not have your own equipment, we will accommodate.

What about sun protection?

All players are required to wear baseball caps throughout the day as well as regularly reapply sunscreen. Water breaks are scheduled throughout the day to keep players hydrated throughout the day.

What if I need to cancel?

We understand that circumstances can change. Should you need to cancel we will be happy to refund the enrolment fee in full with a minimum of 3 days notice prior to the scheduled program. For cancellations within 3 days we will credit the full amount paid toward another program throughout the year.

I don’t want my child to be photographed or any footage taken?

Your child may be photographed during the program and their image may be used for coaching or for promotional purposes. Please advise us if you do not wish their image to be used.

How long are the private sessions?

Standard sessions last either 1 or 2 hours unless otherwise negotiated with a Diamond Dreams coach.

How many sessions do I have to book?

You can book your child in for one session or as many as you like however we recommend a minimum of 5 sessions with at least 1 session per week to ensure greater retention of skills and knowledge gained from each session.

What will happen during the session(s)?

The coach will carry out an analysis of current skills and techniques and make some evaluations of areas of improvement. Each player will receive a session specifically tailored to target areas of improvement in an individual basis.

Where are sessions held?

Most of our outdoor sessions are conducted at: Northmead Reserve – Northmead, Barden Ridge Oval – Barden Ridge, and North Ryde RSL – North Ryde. Other venues are used as per client request and schedule.

When are sessions held?

Private sessions are held Monday through Saturday in the afternoons and evenings. Special morning sessions can also be arranged. Saturday sessions are conducted throughout the day. Special Sunday morning sessions can also be arranged.

What do I have to bring?

You will need to bring your baseball equipment.

What happens if I have to cancel?

Should you not be able to make the session we require notice of 24 hours so we can cancel or fill your place. Should we not receive 24h hours notice, we ,may be forced to charge for the session.
