Ben Albury

Assistant Baseball Coach

Ben Albury joins the Diamond Dreams coaching staff after spending the better part of a decade coaching in the United States collegiate system. Ben will work with both baseball and softball clients of all ages. Before commencing a career in the U.S., Ben lead the Pine Rivers Rapid Baseball Club as Head Coach in 2006. As Head Coach, Ben designed and ran practice sessions, fund-raised for equipment, and took the time to work with players on an individual level to improve their hitting, fielding, and pitching. This experience would serve him well in the years to come. After concluding his collegiate playing career in the U.S., Ben accepted a position as Graduate Assistant Coach with Rockford College, IL, a position he would hold from 2007-09. As a Graduate Assistant, Ben performed video analysis of his hitters mechanics as well as designed and coordinated summer hitting camps. In 2010 Ben was promoted to Assistant Coach and Junior Varsity Coach with Rockford College. Ben was primarily responsible for working with the hitters and infielders. Ben’s squads broke a number of long standing offensive records on their way to numerous conference titles. In total Ben spend 6 years as a member of the Rockford coaching staff, before making the decision to return to Australia. Ben obviously comes to Diamond Dreams highly recommended, and we look forward to Ben contributing to what has already becoming New South Wales premier baseball and softball coaching staff.
